MTPE and universities sign alliances to prevent child labor

The ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, through “Perú Responsable” Program and General Directorate of Fundamental Rights, subscribed agreements with Cesar Vallejo University and University of Sciences and Humanities, to develop join actions of prevention and eradication of child labor. 

Within the framework of these agreements, MTPE and these educational institutions undertake to promote academic investigation, interinstitutional cooperation and coordination of projects to fight this issue as part of their social responsibility plans.

In addition, alliances generated will be released to companies or public institutions linked to “Perú Responsible” Program to have an impact on employment, employability and productive enterprise of beneficiary families with projects.

Universities may participate directly or indirectly in the prevention and eradication of child labor  organized by “Perú Responsible” at local, regional and nationwide.

On the other hand, the ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion signed an agreement with Científica del Sur Univesity to implement activities as academic investigation, edition or publications or project’s articulation that the educational institute decide to develop within the framework of their policy of university social responsibility.

It should be emphasized that “Perú Responsable” Program promotes from the state, the culture of corporate social responsibility, creating jobs, employability and entrepreneurship, whose beneficiaries are vulnerable groups such as women heading households, people with disabilities, poor people, among others.
