MTPE invests more than 3 million soles in labor training for young people from vulnerable areas

(Lima, July 3rd, 2016).- The minister of Labor and Employment Promotion announced that his sector has invested 3 million 798 thousand soles to provide free training to low-income young people from 18 to 29 years old.

The minister reported to young people from AA.HH. Paraíso Alto that there are 2,110 study opportunities in production operator, warehouse Assistant, cashier, teleoperator, commercial advisor and telemarketing, among others.

“We want that young people benefit with the training service for labor insertion, and self-employment training in order to be in the formal labor market”, he said.

Likewise, there are 125 vacancies to benefit disabled young people, he detailed.

The beneficiaries will have classes in institutions such as the National University of San Marcos, National Engineering University, National University of Callao, SENATI and others prestigious entities at national level.

Only in Lima and Callao, there are more than 1,010 vacancies for courses in warehouse, security, cash desk and textile manufacturing.

There are 20 vacancies available for training with dual system approach such as driver–salesman course, Maurate said.

 “This system will help to impact positively in youth employment. It is an innovative educational model based in the alternation between professional training center and the company”, he specified.

During August 2011 to May 2016 in Lima, “Jóvenes Productivos” has inserted 7,747 low-income young people in the formal labor market.
