MTPE seeks to improve youth employability in seven regions.

A Korean delegation is in Lima in order to strengthen the Employment Center services. :: Published 08/06/2016

(Lima, June 1st, 2016).- In the framework of cooperation BID – KEIS (Korea Employment Information Service), a technical  exchange with South Korean computer technicians – was held in favor to establish the process  to a new computer development of Employment Center, the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate Romero reported.  

He stablished that this cooperation consist in the improvement and enlargement of the Employment Center services for the formal labor insertion and the improvement of young people employability in Arequipa, Ica, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Piura, San Martín and Lima Metropolitana.

“The visit of this delegation helps to build up the relation between Peru and South Korea, on the labor and employment promotion section, through a long term commitment to work on state policies”, said.  

The Minister highlighted that in this way, Korea offers its help to our country to consolidate the Employment Center with international standards for the development of human capital.

The cooperation Project seeks to realize  a new Computer platform for the Employment Center that attend as a support for the new redesigned process of attention to young people whot search for a job.

Likewise, to optimize the articulation with the productive sector; which means that more companies become users of the entrepreneurial approach service in a way that the Employment Center is the mediator on the recruitment process.

Maurate specified that in orther to achieve this, the project aims to improve the operational processes of the Employment Center and the MTPE’s governance capacity with regional government, who -in the futur- will be in charge to administrate their Regional Employment Centers.

This Project has an Investment of US$ 38´921,123 and the visit of the South Korean computer technicians helped MTPE’s computer technicians in a diagnosis of the actual system and to develop the main criteria for a new one.

Finally, the leader of the South Korean delegation congratulated the MTPE employment practices and pointed out that this can be an example on the region in benefit of citizens.
