Civil construction workers’ registry starts in Ucayali

(Lima, June 25th, 2016).- The registration in the National Registry of Civil Construction Workers (known in Spanish as RETCC) will be begin on June 27th in Ucayali, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion reported.

This registry seeks to prevent the violence and crime in the civil construction sector, through identification and professionalization of workers that develop this activity.

The Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion of the Regional Government of Ucayali will implement the necessary actions in order to count with human resources and logistical materials required for the worker’s registry in RETCC.

This Regional Directorate will publish a schedule for the worker’s registration in RETCC. Also, the schedule will be published for registration of workers in the RETCC which implementation cannot exceed 60 working days.

The Sub-Directorate of General Registry or a similar office in the Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion will be responsible for processing the registration of workers in the RETCC.

During the next 30 working days after the published schedule, the Inspection Labor System in Ucayali will do an audit as a preventive measure, and the competent authority will carry out technical advice and orientation actions.

The regions with registry are: Ancash, Amazonas, Saint Martin, Lambayeque, Lima Provinces, Ica, Piura, Tacna, Puno, Moquegua and Tumbes. The RETCC is being implemented in all the country.
