MTPE: Peruvian returnees will create their businesses with seed capital of 3 thousand soles

The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion has given seed capital of 3 thousand soles to two hundred Peruvian returnees and relatives of compatriots that live abroad in order to create their own businesses.

20 entrepreneurs from different areas of Loreto Region were the first to receive this incentive, who decided to invest in areas such as production and commercialization of ornamental fishes, production and packing of bee honey, crafts and furniture.

The beneficiaries had this incentive after winning the contest “Emprende con Remesas” that “Impulsa Perú” Program implemented in Áncash, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Loreto and Piura regions.

The winners received high-level training by specialists at National University of Callao, and they have received technical assistance for the implementation of their projects.

Since the contest launch in these regions, “Emprende con Remesas” has benefited to 400 peruvians that returned to the country and relatives of compatriots that live abroad with training for self- employment or entrepreneurship. Only 271 people presented their business plans and 200 of them achieved the seed capital.

The winners of Ancash, Lambayeque, La Libertad and Piura will receive the incentive in the next days.

“Impulsa Perú” program seeks to develop actions in order to strengthen capacity building in entrepreneurship of people with entrepreneurial potential for self-employment.
