(Lima, July 11th, 2016).-  The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion and Nestlé signed an agreement to train with dual system to20 low-income young people of Lima Metropolitana and Callao in order to increase labor insertion of young people between 18 and 29 years old.

The minister Daniel Maurate Romero said that the “Jóvenes Productivos” Program will be responsible to implement the agreement. The dual training consists in learning that alternates capacity development between a work environment (company) and academic environment (training center).

“We seek to develop capacities for employment and labor insertion. This modality has focused the formative process in the company, with specific and programmed learnings in the training center”, he said.

The dual training will be offered: practice training in the company for five days and one day in the training center, and a total length of four months.

The Company will participate in the recruitment and selection process of young participants, respecting the normative of “Jóvenes Productivos”.

Maurate Romero explained the benefits of dual training for the company because these are linked to knowledge of staff skills who will be admitted, worker loyalty with the company and the productivity improvement.

Likewise, the young apprentices will benefit with capacity development linked to labor competences, and certification by the training center and the company.

“The benefits of dual training are great for youth people who face matters of access to labor formal market and information asymmetries, in a country with high rates of labor informality that   affect vulnerable groups”, he said.

The minister highlighted that “Jóvenes Productivos” Program has inserted in the formal labor market to more than 27 thousand low-income young people between August 2011 and December 2015.
