Lima, May 11th, 2016.- The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion requested to national and foreign companies (big, medium and small) in the country, to participate in the Good Labour Practices Contest 2016. The contest will reward labour practices that are national models on defense, respect and promotion of fundamental rights of workers, and contribute to build a culture of peace.
The registration will close on May 31st, and the companies can participate if they do not have penalties by the Labor Administrative Authority in the last year (except if they have taken correctives actions and have paid penalties), and also if they qualify in the categories. In this case, they can register on www.trabajo.gob.pe, and fill online forms.
There are nine categories that will be rewarded: Promotion of equality opportunities between men and women, not discrimination of creed, disability, economic status, race, sex or equality of vulnerable groups, elimination of the worst forms of child and forced labour; prevention of health risks and labour security; sexual and labour harassment; professional development and training access, among others.
This recognition will be delivered in October after evaluation and selection by qualifying jury conformed by the Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, the viceministers of Labor and Employment Promotion and Labor Training, and representatives of business and workers sectors.
Among 2010 and 2015, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion rewarded to 86 national companies, evaluating the most creatives and effectives socio labor responsibility practices and appropriate labor environment that generated higher efficiency levels.
The Good Labour Practices Contest 2016 expects a massive business engagement with the corporate social responsibility, facilitating the implementation of decent work promoted by the State policies and International Labour Organization (ILO).
