(Lima, June 1st, 2016).- The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion will generate 10,170 temporary employments, through “Trabaja Peru” Program, in benefit of population in poverty and extreme poverty situation, Maurate announced.
The MTPE transferred 30.8 millions to 141 district and provincial municipalities of 20 regions that will allow co-funding the implementation of 174 public investment projects of unskilled labor.
Trabaja Perú program works in all country and the projects are made by the same neighbors, mostly women, who improve their community and family economies.
He said that the projects will have a period between three to four months.
The majority of temporary employments will be generated in the districts of: Tacabamba, at Cajamarca (299); Andahuaylas, at Apurímac (259); Cocas, at Huancavelica (208) and Challabamba, at Cusco (141).
The minister Maurate asked to district and provincial mayors to work with the central government and use the budget assigned for projects implementation.
“Trabaja Peru” helps to generate temporary employments, promotes the sustained and quality employment for unemployed and underemployed population of urban and rural areas.
“Trabaja Perú” has generated 156, 870 temporary employments through the implementation of 3,503 projects in basic infrastructure intensive unskilled labor with a co-financed investment of 612,2 millon soles.
