(Tarapoto, July 22nd, 2016).- The Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Daniel Maurate Romero, said that the residents of Tabalosos district in San Martin region will benefit with 201 temporary jobs through public infrastructure projects with an investment of more than 2 million soles.
The projects will improve trails and sidewalks, and preschool services of the Educational Institution Luz Arce Bardales 0293, works will be carried through Trabaja Perú program.
“These temporary jobs help the population living in poverty and extreme poverty, especially women who can contribute in the economy of their home through the Trabaja Perú program” Maurate said.
During his visit to Tabalosos district, the head of MTPE opened a sports area in the North Square neighborhood, where 32 temporary jobs were created and more than 138 thousand soles were inverted.
He also indicated that this Government has generated a total of 162.516 temporary jobs, benefiting 221.260 people nationwide. Of this total, 68% were women and 32% men. The investment was 621.2 million soles.
In the same period, the Trabaja Perú program gave 5,354 temporary jobs to 6,901 people (55% women and 45% men) from San Martin region, through the implementation of 108 projects of basic infrastructure, with an investment of more than 15.3 million soles.
Successful cases of Jóvenes Productivos
On the other hand, Minister Daniel Maurate visited some youth entrepreneurship business in Juan Guerra district in San Martin region, who received training for self-employment of Jóvenes Productivos program.
“They received a seed capital of 2,500 soles each one to implement their business ideas,” he said.

In San Martin region, between August 2011 and June 2016, Jóvenes Productivos has inserted into the formal labor market to 664 young people with limited economic resources.
