The registration in the National Registry of Civil Construction Workers (RETCC in Spanish) will begin on August 22th in La Libertad, the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, Alfonso Grados reported.
The minister said that this registry seeks to prevent the violence and crime in the civil construction sector, through identification and professionalization of workers that develop this activity.
The RETCC will allow having a reliable data base of civil construction workers, facilitating the access to labor orientation and employment services; and it will provide training, specialization and certification of labor competences.
The Regional Management of Labor and Employment Promotion of the Regional Government of La Libertad will implement the necessary actions in order to count with human resources and logistical materials required for the worker’s registry in the RETCC.
Also, this Regional Management will publish a schedule for the worker’s registration in RETCC. Also, the schedule will be published for registration of workers in the RETCC which implementation cannot exceed 60 working days.
The Sub-Directorate of General Registry in La Libertad will be responsible of the registration of workers in the RETCC.
During the next 30 working days after the published schedule, the Inspection Labor System in La Libertad will do an audit as a preventive measure, and the competent authority will carry out technical advice and orientation actions.
Grados Carraro highlighted that the RETCC is a mandatory, free and automatic approval registry.
The regions with registry are: Áncash, Amazonas, San Martín, Arequipa, Lambayeque, Lima Provinces, Ica, Piura, Tacna, Puno, Moquegua, Tumbes, Cusco, Apurímac, Ayacucho, Ucayali, Huánuco and Cajamarca. The RETCC is being implemented nationwide progressively.
