The viceminister of Labor, Augusto Eguiguren, visited Arequipa city to promote the strategic axes of the ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, which will prioritize in the first hundred days of management.
He had a meeting with the governor of Arequipa, Yamila Osorio, discussing issues related to the coordinated work between MTPE and Regional Government in terms of labor formalization, improving of the inspection actions, fight against the child labor and forced labor.
“The management of Minister Grados seeks a growing formalization of the workforce, because the 70% of the population in Peru is in informality, without social safety and basic employment benefits”, highlighted.
Also, he highlighted the strengthening of the Employment Center in the region, in the context of the project of implementation in favor of the labor insertion of the young people of seven regions of the country with support of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID in spanish).
On the other hand, the viceminister of Labor had a meeting with the regional manager of Labor and Employment Promotion, Freddy Cahui. The fundamental points that this government will work, especially altogether between the managements and ministry, and the development of a work plan that will strengthen the MTPE’s program for the benefit of the region were emphasized in the meeting.
The general director of Labor, Juan Carlos Gutiérrez participated in the meeting too.
