Two mineworkers’ unions suspended the beginning of indefinite strikes after reaching agreements with companies, through mediation of the Department of Prevention and Conflict Resolution of Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion.

Among the agreements, Río Caudaloso Mining Company and Complementary Services are committed to continue reviewing workers’ pay scale of miners and metalworkers Union of specialized companies that provide services to Casapalca Mining Company, and to maintain remunerative differences according to roles and responsibilities.

Likewise, Antapaccay Mining Company and its labor union agreed to wait for the ruling of the Administrative Labour Authority about restarting the collective bargaining process.

The measure generated that workers suspended their indefinite strike announcement, while the company expressed its decision that will not impugn the resolution issued by the authority.
