The minister of Labor and Employment Promotion, Alfonso Grados Carraro met with leaders of the Workers’ Confederation of Peru (CTP in Spanish) and the United Union of Workers (CUT in Spanish) to receive proposals of these unions to stablish working arrangements, within the framework of permanent dialogue that promotes his management.
In this regard, Grados Carraro confirmed his arragement to respect the labor and union rights and the compliance of a fair and transparent regulatory labor.
“We will strengthen the internal systems of MTPE, helping the central policies of this government around the social revolution that President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski encourages”, said.
He emphasized that the strengthening of National Council of Labor and Employment Promotion (CNTPE in spanish). It will be the forum of social dialogue between workers, entrepreneurs and the government.
Minister Grados pointed that his sector will emphasize in access of young people in better conditions to the formal labor market, providing them tools as training for labor insertion and self-employment, also job skills, through sector programs.
Also, will continue with “Ponte en Carrera”, that helps young people to choose his professional or technical career, giving them information and statistics over educational offer and labor demand.
“We search the protection of productive and decent employment as a national development axis”, said.
The unions asked to review the General Employment Law, strengthening of CNTPE, formalization, social security reform, ILO standards observance, among others.
This meetings were done in the framework of Government dialogue with the workforce and the unionized workers.
In the next days, there will be similar meetings with the main business associations and civil society.
