Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion certified more than 13 thousand nationwide

Certification of labor competences recognizes practice experience of workers and improves their employability :: Published 19/07/2016

(Lima, July 14th, 2016).- The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion reported, through “Impulsa Perú” Program, that gave certifications of labor competence to 13,406 people at national level.

The certified trades were: industrial wood carpenter, housekeeper, housekeeping, waiter, cook, cleaning operator, harvesting vegetables, phytosanitary technician, among others. The beneficiaries are from Ancash, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Callao, Madre de Dios, Piura, Puno, San Martín, Tacna, Tumbes and Ucayali.

Impulsa Perú Program certified the labor competences of 36 construction foremen, who were evaluated by the Peruvian Chamber of Construction (Capeco).

MTPE promotes the employment and improves labor competences with training to unemployed and underemployed people of economically active population.

“Impulsa Perú” Program will strengthen more than 12 thousand people through three action lines: training for labor insertion, certification of labor competences and training for the self-employment or entrepreneurship. The investment will be S/. 15 million soles.

The regions are Apurímac, Áncash, Arequipa, Ayacucho, Cusco, Ica, Junín, Loreto, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Callao, Piura, Puno, San Martín and Tacna.

The program has benefited 58,861 people nationwide in the last five years with an investment of S/. 74 million soles.
