Tarapoto, May 5th, 2016.- The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion opened the Employment Week in Tarapoto City, San Martin Region, with 400 formal jobs for vulnerable and low-income population.
The vice minister of Employment Promotion and Labor Training, Nicanor Boluarte, reported that 11 companies of the region offer vacancies in sales, farming operators and dockers.
The labor fair provides services of labor exchange and consultancy for job search. The entrepreneurs and independent workers will receive information about training and guidance for entrepreneurship by Jovenes Productivos and Impulsa Peru Program.
The assistants can request the single labor certification, required document to apply for a job in Peruvian companies, even information about employee profiles more required by employers.
Boluarte Zegarra said that the Employment Week is an itinerant space of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion that generates an interaction between the private sector and the society to facilitate labor insertion.
Vocational orientation
The vice minister Boluarte visited the educational institution Santa Rosa in Tarapoto, to inform to high school students about the web platforms Service of Vocational Orientation and Occupational Information (Sovio) and Ponte Carrera.
The web platforms Sovio and Ponte en Carrera will allow that the students decide the best choice for an occupation, or professional or technical career”, said.
Training and certification for Young people
The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion announced that 60 low-income young people will receive training courses by Jovenes Productivos Program related to trades of qualified electrician, operator in agroforestry and auxiliary in masonry and civil construction.
Impulsa Peru Program delivered certificates of labor training to 187 people who finished the cooker and waiter assessments successfully.
