(Lima, May 18th, 2016).- The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion approved the guidelines for the formation and operation of the Employment Center and its integration into the National Employment Service in order to guarantee the quality of the services concerning the employment promotion, employability and businesses provided to citizens.
This standard establishes the minimum conditions for the correct functioning of the Employment Center in the regions and provinces regarding the quality of human resources, infrastructure and equipment, together with the process for the provision of statistical information from the decentralized and independent services.
This will enable the employment services to have suitable spaces, especially for disabled people or those with scant financial resources who use the Employment Centre to find work or free training under the social programs of the MTPE.
If the Employment Centers located in the various regions do not meet the necessary conditions, they will be granted a period of two years to gradually come up to standard, with technical assistance from the MTPE.
The established guidelines seek to strengthen the mechanisms for coordination and communication with regional and local governments, which will help to consolidate the decentralization process and will help to develop collaboration in the field of employment.
As is known, the Employment Center is a mechanism for the promotion of employment for job placement, the improvement of employability and the development of sustainable businesses, providing all of these services to enable citizens to obtain a job in a single location.
Currently, it provides twelve services free of charge: Information on the employment market, business outreach, vocational guidance and occupational information, training for employment, training for entrepreneurship, guidance for entrepreneurship, an employment exchange, advice for finding employment, individual labour certificate, temporary employment, certification of labour skills and guidance for migrants.
The central office of the Employment Center is located within the MTPE head office: Avenida Salaverry 655, Jesús María-Lima.
