Lima, May 19th, 2016.- High school students and young people received information about labor market and free vocational orientation in “Ponte en Carrera” Festival organized by the Ministry of Labour and Employment Promotion at “Parque de la Exposición”.
The president Ollanta Humala and the minister Daniel Maurate participated in the activity and requested to assistants to know the best-paying careers through “Ponte en Carrera” web. This web is administered by the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion, Ministry of Education and IPAE – Business Action.
“Ponte en Carrera” gives appropriate information about educational offering and labor demand to young people who begin their higher education” said the minister, Daniel Maurate.
Also, he reported that www.ponteencarrera.pe has registered more than 245 thousands users since its creation (July 21th, 2015).
Maurate said that the sector helps to young people to make a better decision about their future in the formal labor market.
At the festival, MTPE specialists also provided vocational orientation in order to promote the construction of project life of students; assess their personal characteristics and professional interests, and business potential.
“This government has benefited more than 223 thousand young people with our service of vocational orientation and occupational information in 26 regions” Maurate Romero said.
The universities careers with higher incomes are: Civil Engineering (S/3,609), Geology (S/3,576), Mining Engineering, Metallurgy and Petroleum (S/3,505), Electrical Engineering (S/3,392) and Telecommunication Engineering (S/3,337).
On the other hand, technical careers with higher incomes are: Technical in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy and Petroleum (S/2,694), Technical in Architecture and Urban Planning (S/2,659), Technical in Civil Engineering (S/2,301), Technical in Electrical Engineering (S/2,001) and Technical in Marketing (S/1,997).
Several artists participated at the closing of the “Ponte en Carrera” Festival: Max Castro, Son Tentación, Candela Orchestra and Bareto who motivated to young people to visit Ponte en Carrera web.
