(Lima, June 20th, 2016).- Since today, students and general public can access to information about labor market and training offering to make informed decisions about their professional future, through mobile application of “Ponte en Carrera”, Minister of Labor and Employment Promotion announced.
This new software tool will allow to expand the possibility so that more young people can access to version2.0 of www.ponteencarrera.pe, which has an update of higher education offer (more than 5,500 training options), data of income average of young professionals, adding public sector information (1.0 version included only private sector).
Also, the inclusion of infographics with new data about benefits of higher education, the employment situation of young professionals, institutions ranking of average income of its graduates, among others.
Maurate Romero reported that mobile APP “Ponte en Carrera” can be downloaded for free on Android system and, shortly, it will be operative on iOS system.
“By downloading the mobile APP, young people will not need to be connected to the Internet to view the contents of the mobile application”, he said.
Likewise, the actual demand of workers with spreadsheet indicates the most required careers in formal market such as Business Administration (S/ 2,853), Accounting and Finance (S/ 2,591), and Law (S/ 2,805); however, they do not represent those of higher income.
“The careers with higher presence in formal sector are those transversal occupations of superior and technical levels, that are involved in productive processes or organizational functions in companies and entities”, Maurate said.

The 5 Top best paid university careers are: Civil Engineering (S/4,109); Geology (S/3,980); Electrical engineering (S/3,974); Telecommunication Engineering (S/3,965) and Medicine (S/3,964).
Also, the 5 Top best paid technical careers are: Architecture and Urbanism Technician (S/3,093); Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum Engineering Technician (S/3,077); Civil Engineering Technician (S/2,622); Marketing Technician (S/2,318) and Electrical Engineering Technician (S/2,296).
