Registration of civil construction workers begins in Ayacucho

RETCC seeks to maintain citizen safety and contributes to social peace :: Published 19/05/2016

The registrations for the National Registry of Civil Construction Workers (known in Spanish as RETCC) will begin in Ayacucho on Monday 16th. It is an action of Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion to counteract violence and crime in the Civil Construction Sector through the identification of workers who work in such activity.  

This register seeks to maintain citizen safety, to contribute to social peace, to promote investment, to guarantee physical integrity of employers and workers, and guarantee the free exercise of individual and collective rights of workers of this activity.

The Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion of the Regional Government of Ayacucho will make necessary actions to have human, material and logistics resources, and all necessary for the workers registration in the RETCC.

Also, the schedule will be published for registration of workers in the RETCC which implementation cannot exceed 60 working days.

After that period and during the next 30 working days, the Inspection Labor System in Ayacucho will do an audit as a preventive measure, and the competent authority will carry out technical advice and orientation actions.

The Sub-Directorate of General Registry or a similar office in the Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion will be responsible for processing the registration of workers in the RETCC.

The Regional Directorate of Labor and Employment Promotion of Ayacucho will adopt administrative measures to fulfill the MTPE indications.

The RETCC is being implemented in all country. The regions that have a registry are: San Martín, Arequipa, Lambayeque, Lima Provinces, Ica, Piura, Tacna, Puno, Moquegua and Tumbes.

This registry will contribute to labor inspection, and it will allow that registered workers can access to job offers, labor training services, and professional training.
